Birffdays!

Well, hey'ya bloggity.
I just got done with a spontaneous 30 minute workout. Because apparently I crave endorphins before I go to sleep. Now I'm absolutely wiped out and ready for bed. But, I can't forget about you, can I?

So, today High School was out in my district, and you know what that means?! I get to wake up at 6:30 for freaking College. Nothing interesting happened today, other than Cindy (the girl in the previous post for all you lurkers) coming to class as a sit in with me. Afterward, I wrangled up AJK (Name drop, you're welcome) and we all went or for lunch.

What I neglected to do, was schedule time to bake my friends birthday cake. You see, today was his 18th birthday, and Cindy and I were going to surprise him with gifts and cake. So me, being a procrastinator and all, figures getting home at 1:30 is enough time to bake a double layer yellow cake from scratch. Ha, I was sorely suppressed when the buzzer rang and the first cake was still liquid.

So, three hours later, we were graced with this beauty. Sometimes hard work, determination, nutella, funfetti, and three cups of flour really pay off:

So, we wrangled up our gifts and headed on over to his house. I bought him a Catbus hat from My Neighbor Totoro. If you don't know what that might possibly look like, I highly suggest you Google it or something, because it's the definition of epic. As you can see, he was happier than a bird with a French Fry. I'm just happy to have made his day :D

Well bloggity, I'm about to fall asleep from exhaustion. So, if I can offer one word of advice to my readers, it would be...
DON'T PUT OFF MAKING ANYTHING FROM SCRATCH.
Or at least plan ahead when doing so. It'll come back and bite you in the ass!

Later days guys!

Random Adventures

Evening Bloggity.
Can I just start out by saying that watching a movie till midnight, then getting up at 6 for school is the worst torture I can imagine. That was me last night, ignoring the time, adoring my Netflix ap. That ap is the devil, and how I do love it...I should rename the widget Lucifer for good measure.

Today was one of those day that your senses go all wacky. In my case, this was smell. I smelt bleach or something I couldn't exactly place everywhere I went. It was mildly annoying asking people if something smells funny when apparently my nose has gained a superpower and can smell even the slightest traces of well, anything. I must have looked like a crazy person, wandering around, sniffing things. Well, I guess we all have those days, huh?

I broke my energy drink sobriety today, sadly. It had been six months since I had had even a sip of Rockstar, and today I bought a can. I feel sort of bad drinking a Rockstar in the winter when I'm not snowboarding. It brings back too many memories of Summer, memories I can't replace for a long ass time. Why can't it be July already? I want to go back to the supercross track, lay out by the pool, drive aimlessly with the windows down and music blaring. The cold needs to go away, or at least snow. This freezing wind stuff isn't up my alley.

So yeah, today was full of little suprises. Hello Kitty grilled cheese sandwiches, my professor telling stories about bums eating pigeons, throwing some ninja-action elbow strikes in Kickboxing, Albertsons runs, cheesey bread, Ducks losing while my Dad cursed at the TV, and reliving my childhood obsession with the movie Holes (The plot is so patchy now, it barely makes sense haha). Even if it was lazy, it was still an adventure, in its own little way.

Now I'm going to make up for some lost sleep as I feel that energy drink erode away what's left of my stomach lining. Horray!
Later days readers!

Sweet cuppin'cakes

Ugh, I've really got to find a way to motivate me to blog on the weekends. For some reason, it's a lot harder than the rest of the week, and I have no idea why. So, right now I'm laying in bed, watching my iPod try and autocorrect words before I even finish typing them. So, what can I say about today?

Well, I bought a $3.99 copy of Catcher in the Rye. Yeah, I haven't read it yet, don't stab me please. Honestly, I'm suppressed that I haven't yet, or at least the school system hasn't forced me to. Most of the books I've read in my Honors class (OTHER THAN fucking Cry, the Beloved Country and Gulliver's Travels) were fantastic. Native Son is one of my favorite books of all time now, along with Lord of the Flies, and As I Lay Dying. But it's a bloody shame Catcher hasn't even been mentioned yet. Well, all that's about to change. I'm starting tomorrow. I'll most likely be done by Wednesday haha.

Speaking of books, I bought a pastry/dessert cookbook today at Ross. The pastries in there look absolutle delectable, including the Spiced Honey Cake and Lavender Fairy Cupcakes I'm wanting to make so badly. Baking is one of the things people don't expect me to like or be good at. Actually, I'm pretty good, if I may boast for a moment. Baking is my second of two housewife traits I've obtained, sewing being the first. So, if you'd like some baked goods in the near future, hit me up please! I'd love to have a baking party with you! Haha.

Well bloggity, tomorrow is Monday, which means back to the old grind. But, I have half the day off Wednesday, and my best friend is coming over Tuesday afternoon to sleep over. Random debauchery is sure to pop up throughout the day, so stay tuned for my updates on that :P

Later!

Tonight is the last night in my body.

Wow, so let's take a walk down memory lane, shall we? I was in Pac Sun today, and this little number was playing. I use to think I was so cool for knowing The Receiving End of Sirens in like 8th grade, because no one else had heard of them. Haha, we all go through that phase, right?

So, today I sized up to an 8 gauge. I kind of miss my 10's, but I got a free pair of pink plugs with peace signs on them and a taper with my black and white swirled plugs. So, I guess it wasn't all that bad of a deal, I just need to get use to them because I've had the 10 plugs in for so long.

What else happened today...Well, Victoria's Secret is having a sale, a HUGE sale. I mean, huge. Knowing me, playing the proverbial 'poor college kid' card, I bee-lined for the 75% off rack and scored 35 dollars worth of body spray and cream for 9 bucks. Hell yeah, being cheap is a good thing sometimes! Plus, there was the cutest little boy in line, he must have been only three or so. The checkout line was decently long, so his mother and I were talking. He kept waving to me and smiling, such a little cutie. I love kids...

So, yeah. Sorry there's no introspection or universal question I can try and solve. Blogging on the weekend for me is kinda...eehh. Which means I highly doubt I'll write anymore on Black Swan, even though it was bloody fantastic! If I go any further, I'm going to spoil it for all those who haven't seen the movie. So, you're lucky I was tired when I wrote that.

Maybe tomorrow I'll be more interesting. Because I'm maybe going to start my Ravenclaw robe. I'll keep you guys posted on that one, the updates of my endevers should be amusing.

Bye bye bloggity!

P.S. Do you know how much of a good feeling it is to fine 21 dollars in an old wallet? The answer is very :D

Black Swan

Wow, can I just say that Black Swan was amazing. The characters were so developed, the plotline so full. And the ending? Wow, such a fast pace, so raw, and so much discovery about Nina's true self. Without giving away details, I was royally skullfucked by this movie, that is the only way to describe it. I wanted to get this teaser up just to say that I officially blogged today.

I'll post a full review tomorrow, but right now my car alarms going off...
Damn ice, melting and opening my doors...

Later bloggity.

The Future

So, my mental health day was an amazing idea. I feel like so much negative energy in me is gone now. I guess I just needed a day to pamper myself, something that was extremely overdue. An hour long massage and an hour long facial, that's true heaven.

So, I'm pretty sure I'm going to Boise State now for Fall 2011. They have a bachelors in Sonography; something that I was going to have to go back to Tacoma for, but now I have this convenient option. My mother has her mind on me not going though, I can tell by her dropping hints every so often. I think she doesn't want me to leave the nest; Honestly, I don't know if I want to either. Idaho isn't the place where I thought I'd wind up, but life works is mysterious ways I suppose.

Well, tomorrow I'm going to go see Black Swan, which is getting its own blog entry if nothing overly-important happens. Darren Aronofsky is a directing genius, Requiem for a Dream being my favorite move probably of all time. From what I've heard, I won't be disappointed. Plus, as the trailer went along, I saw a lot of the same elements he implemented in Requiem. I don't think i've been excited for a movie like this in a long time.

See you tomorrow!
